SYLLABUS
The 6th grade course includes the following modules/units: 1) ratios & unit rates, 2) arithmetic operations,
3) rational numbers, 4) expressions & equations, 5) area, surface area & volume, 6) statistics.
In May of 2020, students take the Grade 6 MCAS 2.0 Exam.
The 7th grade course includes the following modules/units: 1) ratios & proportional relationships, 2) rational numbers,
3) expressions & equations, 4) percent & proportional relationships, 5) statistics & probability, 6) geometry.
In May of 2020, students take the Grade 7 Mathematics MCAS 2.0 Exam.
Homework-Accelerated Math
Assigned and checked daily.
Students may do their homework on paper or use https://hosted113.renlearn.com/7475/homeconnect to complete Accelerated Math homework with their username & password.
The homework site is also accessible through http://ldaisy.weebly.com.

Grade
- Calculated by adding the number of points earned, dividing by the total number of possible points, and then multiplying by 100
- Quizzes may range from 5 to 50 points each (administered biweekly)
- Performance Based Assessments measure how well students can apply or use what they know, often in real-world situations. These may range from 5 to 50 points each (administered biweekly)
- Class Participation is worth a total of 50 points per quarter.
- Homework-Accelerated Math Practices are worth one test grade per quarter – 100 points. This is a web-based program that is specially designed to track grade-level objectives that each student has mastered and/or needs extra help to achieve. To earn 100 points for each quarter, a student must earn 30 objectives.
- Accelerated Math Test grades are averaged and worth one test grade per quarter - 100 points. Tests are unlocked by students completing and scoring well on accelerated math "practice" assignments that are homework assignments.
